Ok, you're interested. Now you need to find a place to play. This can be easy or hard depending on where you live. If you live in or near a larger metropolitain area, chances are you have fields around you even if you don't know about them. Where I live we have four good fields but only one is listed in the telephone book.
If you know people who play, ask them where they play. If they play at an approved field, ask if you can go with them sometime. If they run out in thier backyard to play, leave them alone. The last thing you need is some yahoo putting your eye out as your first paintball experience.
Try the yellowpages of your phonebook. Look under paintball, you might be surprised. When I started playing I didn't even know the phonebook had a paintball listing. If the field is too far away, call them anyway. Ask if they of a field closer to you.
If you are reading this you have an internet connection. Do a search. If you search engine has a local option use it. Yahoo has the "get local" option. Others have similar options. You can also just search "paintball & (your area)" if your engine doesn't have a local feature.
If, after steps 1-3, you still can not find a place to play, try the newspapers. Most larger papers allow you to run a free ad for a few days. Run an ad - Looking For Place To Play Paintball Call 555-5555.
You've tried steps 1-4. You still can't find a field. E-Mail me. I'll try to find one for you.
